Began her equestrian teaching career at 18, completing the Bill Johnson Teachers’ Training Course in South Africa, and then the British BA in Kent, England.
Competed extensively and successfully in Canada in your 20s
Invited to join the Canadian national dressage team, based in Voerde, Germany, under the tutelage of Johann Hinneman, the National Coach for Canada.
Also working with the Old Masters, Harry Boldt, Joseph Neckerman, Klaus Balkenhol, to name a few.
Returned to South Africa in 1984 after the Los Angeles Olympics, concentrating on her dressage teaching and journalism.
She has successfully coached from Novice to Grand Prix for many years.
Was the National Coach for the South African Para Olympic team in Athens and Hong Kong.
Lives on a small farm in Hout Bay, Cape Town. Is passionate about gardening, cooking, especially Asian cuisine, and loves to read.
She has two daughters. Her youngest daughter, husband and grandson live on the farm. Needless to say, she is totally besotted by her five year-old grandson, Zack, declaring him to be the best man in her life.
